@tumma, we built a new backend for gathering links data as part of our new UI and we decided not to follow 301s (http:\/\/googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com\/2009\/06\/out-with-old-in-with-new.html)<\/p>\n

The reason we did this was a lot of users were trying to go to the source page that we mention has the URL and were unable to find it since we were showing the final destination URL rather than what was specified on page.<\/p>\n

We understand this change has solved issues for some users, but created new problems for others and we are going to look at ways to solve this problem. <\/p>\n

\nNo, this change only affects the way Google Webmaster Tools lists links to a URL. Redirects are a normal part of the web, but for Webmaster Tools we’ve currently opted to show only the links that are actually verifiable by visiting the pages directly. It would be nice to show “everything”, but at some point we have to draw the line and make sure that the average user can still use it :-). <\/p>\n
